Trials for the 2008 / 09 season are by invitation only.
If you are eligible to play at Under 12,13,14,15,16 or 18 level next season and think that you have the skills, attitude and determination to play youth football at a high standard, then we would like to hear from you.
Please use the Contact Us link on this website (go to the home page and you will find it on the left hand side) and tell us a little about yourself. In particular we want to know:
- How old you are
- Where you live
- Who you have been playing for and are you already registered to play for another club
- What position you play
- Details of any individual success you have had as a player
- A few words about why you think you think you are good enough to play for Gloucester City.
and most important we need the name and phone number of your parent or guardian. In fact we would prefer that you spoke to them before you emailed us so that they know that you are emailing Gloucester City.
Not everybody that applies will be invited for a trial.
However, your details will be passed to a Club Official and if they decide to invite you for a trial or want to find out more about you they will in the first instance phone your parent or guardian. We will not speak directly to players so its very important that you include these details in your email.
Before you apply, remember that Gloucester City youth teams play in two of the best Leagues in the Midlands where the standards of football are high. If you are lucky enough to be offered a place in one of our squads you will be expected to attend mid week training at least once a week and to play matches throughout the Midlands area on Saturday mornings (most grounds ought to be within 60 to 90 minutes of Gloucester). Our players also continue to represent their Schools and the majority also play for other club sides in and around Gloucester on Sundays.
If you are already a member of one of our squads you Coach will be able to tell you about the arrangements for next year. There is no need for you to apply for a trial.
